Wilmington Trust, with 18 U. S. and international offices, reports that total charitable contributions in the U.S. were $203.45 billion in 2000, an increase of 6.6 percent as compared with 1999. Our citizens give a lot of money to charities and that trend is expected to continue, even in face of tougher economic times.
